CASTING CALL: POINT...BLANK...PERIOD!

SHOW DESCRIPTION
Point…Blank…Period! is a compilation show of spoken word, monologues, and short scenes centered around a woman’s period. This production will look at various women’s love/hate relationship with their period.  It’s ups and downs, and everything in between.

REHEARSAL AND PRODUCTION DATES
This production is presented as a part of the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival, a program of the Washington, DC non-profit Capital Fringe. Production will run July 10-27, 2014. Rehearsals will begin in April 2014.

COMPENSATION
A percentage of the box office proceeds, to be determined at a later date.

ROLES
1 Male, 18+, all ethnicities, actor
Multiple Female roles, 18+, all ethnicities, actors and spoken word artists
1 Child, 12 and under, all ethnicities, actor

You all are an amazing bunch!  You've gotten us so far in meeting our fundraising goal, but we've still have some ways to go.  We almost met our 2/22 goal, so let's keep going!  We need to raise another $1000 by March 22, 2014!

Point…Blank…Period! is a riveting compilation of spoken word, monologues, and short scenes centered around a woman’s period!  That’s right…that monthly visitor that we can’t live with but can’t live without. This production will look at various women’s love/hate relationship with that life-giving function that we so desperately need. Whether you’re a man or woman, this promises to be a funny and insightful look at ‘Aunt Flow.’

FEATURED EMERGING
ARTIST OF THE MONTH
Devynne Sharron is a Fully Licensed Therapist, Life Coach, and aspiring Motivational Speaker and author! She is highly I’m interested in all aspects of success and prosperity. Helping people and artistic expression/creativity are her two combined passions in life. As a therapist, Devynne doesn't  get the opportunity to “sit on my own couch” so she uses spoken word and her artistic abilities as a venting/coping tool whenever she needs to clear her head. She even uses creative expression in her sessions and have found it to be highly effective and therapeutic for both children and adults. So, when Devynne's feeling “a certain kind of way,” she makes sure to have a pen and pad, or paint and pallet close by.
