ARTIST OF THE MONTH
Grace Thomas is a harmonious blend of the warm Southern lady and an adventurous citizen of the world. Trained as a company Jazz dancer at The Atlanta Jazz Theater in her youth, Grace has been on the stage from the age of 3. A bright student of the school of life, Grace actively seeks out projects and content that challenges her, as well as her audience, and inspire her growth in the craft. From independent films (Unheard, Curtain Call Reloaded: A Silent Film,  and CHOiCES) to live musical staged productions (You Better Not Tell, Unspoken Word, Lemons, Black Girl Lost from The DC Black Play Festival, and The Vagina Monologues), Grace is a young actor to watch for. She has recently returned to Atlanta, Georgia in hopes of answering the call for talent as productions continue to move to the southeast. Grace looks forward to working on Atlanta based television series, more stage productions that stretch her, and studying next summer at Guild Hall in London (fingers-crossed)!

ARTIST OF THE MONTH
Alexis Barone was sitting in a movie theatre with her dad, watching Steve Martin’s “Cheaper by the Dozen”, when she decided she wanted to be an actor.  At age nine, she began formal voice training and seeking work in local theatre productions.  The lack of child roles in theatre and the distance to the cities for rehearsals led her into film a little over five years ago.  Since then she has appeared in over 20 projects including commercials, documentaries, television shows, web series, and feature films. Last spring, at age 17, Alexis was cast as a lead role in Investigation Discovery’s new series, “Forbidden”. She was also cast in the lead role of Robbie Soto’s independent film, “Reminisce”, where she played the Homecoming Queen. Currently, Alexis is attending Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, where she is majoring in Musical Theatre. Alexis is currently seeking representation in the Southeast market, and would like to work her way to the West Coast.  Even though she is considered a triple threat, film and television is her preferred medium. Her next project is CCU’s production of “Blood Wedding” where she will take on the darker role of the Beggar Woman. Check her out at Alexisbarone.blogspot.com.

About a year ago I met Rachael Kay Albers.  When I say she amazed me from day one...that is an understatement.  The work that she is doing is awesome (no pun intended)! Her website,Awesomepreneur, features these great people that she's met and their wonderful work.  She's even featured me and the work of MDP, I was truly honored.

Awesomepreneur is a digital magazine by and for heart-centered entrepreneurs bringing you daily recipes for mixing more passion and purpose into your work life with tips, strategies, and stories from heartworking awesomepreneurs around the world.

Awesomepreneurship is defined by how you work, not what you do. Awesomepreneurs work with heart. Not always entrepreneurs and small business owners, awesomepreneurs are teachers, farmers, artists, lawyers, writers, doctors, accountants. You name it. Someone’s probably out there doing it with heart.

Check out their website and follow their work!  We do...it's MDP approved!
When novice writer, Necole Ryse, asked her friends for one sentence, everything went haywire. It all started as a way to pull herself from the unforgiving grip of writer's block, but it quickly grew to be much more than that. Using only one sentence, she created individual short stories, each more or less than 1,000 words, and dedicated them to her friends. The quick, entertaining reads are gripping, and funny, and some will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Necole Ryse's shorties will leave you wanting more. To order your copy today, visit the website:
